About Us

We are seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join as an early engineer and help shape the future of data-driven products! In this position, you will have the opportunity to join as a founding member of the team and serve as the subject matter expert on all things frontend related. We are a small but mighty team of industry experts that have contributed to some of your favorite tools. Here are the details: 

Tech stack:

• You'll be working with TypeScript/React for the frontend and Python for the backend, managed with Terraform on GCP.
• We are exploring innovative ways of using LLMs (GPT-3, Codex) in the spreadsheet context to create Copilot-like functionality in Sheets. Imagine a 10x smarter autofill, natural language to formulas & SQL, Copilot for writing formulas. 
• In the future, we plan to use Rust + pola.rs + WASM to run native code in Apps Script (which Google Sheets executes for add-ons and custom formulas).

Preferred qualifications:

• You have 3+ years of experience developing user-centered products
• You are a versatile engineer who can quickly learn new frameworks
• You thrive on solving complex technical challenges with innovative solutions
• You are proficient in React and TypeScript (or Flow)

Bonus points if you:

• You have experience working with large datasets in SQL (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or equivalent) and Python (numpy, pandas)
• You have experience with Google Apps Script or Chrome extensions
• You have worked with dbt SQL models
• You have experimented with GPT/ChatGPT and are familiar with prompting methods
